The Poznan Christmas Market 2025 has officially begun today, on the 21st of November, although in one location (Międzynarodowe Targi Poznanskie) it started last week. Christmas Market in Poznan in 2025, also called Poznan Bethlehem, will last until December 21 (Miedzynarodowe Targi Poznanskie) or January 6 (on Freedom Square and the Old Market). This is the 10th time the Christmas Market is celebrated in Poznan, but for the first time it is partially placed in the Old Market, after it’s renovation that was finished last year.
What may you expect to see at Poznan Christmas Market 2025
There will be no Christmas Parade this year, but except for that, the Market will not be different to previous years. You may expect plenty of cultural events for adults and children, charity events, local and international food, mulled wine, and of course – Christmas Trees, lights and decorations.
Ice Festival during Poznan Christmas Market
One of the most notable events accompanying the Christmas Fair in Poznan in 2025 will be the 19th edition of the International Ice Sculpture Festival, which will take place in Stary Rynek – on 12-14 of December. Top Ice Sculptors will compete three times: in Small Sculpture, Speed Ice Carving and the Main Competition, and their efforts may be observed for free. On the 8th of December, a workshop on Ice Carving will take place for children.
Silent Disco
This is a recurring event that will take place on Thursdays at the Plac Wolnosci. This is a unique type of event where participants are equipped with wireless headphones. Each headphone may listen to three channels where three DJs play different music. This allows participants to choose the music they want to dance to. Headphones may be borrowed for free from 5 pm to 9 pm, but the number of headphones is limited, so don’t be late.

Hi there,
I am a writer for TravelMag.com and we are currently writing an article on the 20 most charming small Christmas markets in Europe.
Please could you confirm how many stalls are at the Poznan Christmas Market, and also what dates the market is open from and until?
We would also love if you could send us a few high res images of the market for us to pick from. Would this be possible? If so, please could you also send full photo credits we should use?
Many thanks in advance,
Paul Joseph
