In 2024, the New Year’s Eve celebration in Silesian agglomeration will take place in Slaski Stadium in Chorzow, The Stadium is located just between Chorzow and Katowice. This year’s celebration in Chorzow will be without a doubt the biggest one, as it is sponsored by the state TV, and will be broadcasted as “Sylwester z Dwójka”.

The New Year’s Eve celebration in Katowice will be organized by TV2. What may you expect from the party? Well, the simplest answer is: a concert that will last for a couple of hours, that will include both domestic and foreign artists. The line up announced so far is really impressive.

Bryan Adams
Bryan Adam is so far the biggest name of the line up. He made his debut in the late 1970s, and now is a legend of world music and an artist who has won the hearts of millions of fans around the world for decades. He rose to fame with hits including “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You”, “Please forgive me” and “Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?”. During his career, he has won numerous awards and nominations, including a Grammy Award.

The end of 2024 will be celebrated with the charismatic Italians from the group The Kolors, who dominated the European charts with their hit “Italodisco” and took over dance floors. You will also listen to the “king of the European dance scene” DJ BoBo, the Dutch singer Loona, and the disco rhythm will be provided by the French Ottawan.
Chorzow will also feature an array of musical stars from Poland. These include. the colourful bird of Polish show business, Michał Szpak; the composer, singer, and songwriter Lanberry; the group Afromental, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary; one of Poland’s most recognisable artists, singer, songwriter and actor Andrzej Piaseczny, and the invariably original and charismatic Tatiana Okupnik.
New Year’s Eve at the Silesian Stadium will also feature singer, dancer and actress Natasza Urbańska; the winner of “The Voice Kids”, the girl who conquered America’s “Mam Talent!” by Sarah James and the band LemOn, which can touch the most sensitive emotional strings of the audience like no other.
There will also be performances by true stage show specialists Michał Wiśniewski; an artist whose energy has been lighting up every stage and every audience for years, i.e. Majka Jeżowska, and Blanka. Poland’s representative at the 67th Polish Eurovision Song Contest, as well as the author of the famous ‘bejba’, which has permanently entered the canon of pop culture expressions.
For the audience gathered at the Silesian Stadium and TVP viewers, the greatest hits will also be sung by Małgorzata Ostrowska, the band Feel, Piersi, Wilki, Jacek Stachursky or Papa D. Artists of the younger generation will be represented by Sarsa and Kamil Bednarek. The audience will be cheered into dancing by Staszek Karpiel-Bułecka. On stage, we will see the band Modelki and the winners of “The Voice of Poland”, i.e. Dominik Dudek and Ania Iwanek. A Silesian accent will be provided by the well-known artist, songwriter and music producer Miuosh and the choir of the “Śląsk” Song and Dance Ensemble.
Rising stars of the Polish music scene and talented “youth” will also have a chance to present their skills. Among them will be: composer, songwriter, arranger, DJ and music producer Tribbs; singer, youtuber and influencer Wersow; an artist who has performed in front of artists such as Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Mel B., i.e. Kaeyra; popular singers Filip Lato and Kuba Szmajkowski; “The Voice Kids” finalist Carla Fernandes; the revelation of the Sopot Festival – the group Emo ; and Sonia Maselik, an award-winning participant in “Szansa na Sukces” in Opole.

The great news is that the entrance to the concert is free! New Year’s Eve at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów will begin at 6.30 p.m. and last until 01.30 a.m. Entrances to the venue are expected to open at 6 p.m. – there will be several gates, including those leading into the stands and onto the pitch. Silesia Stadium staff ensure that those who take their seats in the stadium after 18:00 will not be bored, as a so-called ‘musical warm-up’ is planned before the live broadcast.
