Krakow is the most popular tourist destination and the most polluted big city in Poland as well. This is best visible during winter, when people warming their homes with coal, making the situation even worse.
Krakow has only one airport – Balice John Paul the Second Airport. It is located about 10 kilometres west of the city centre and is very well-connected by public transport. You can get from Krakow Airport to city centre in 20 minutes by train for about 2 EUR! Other Krakow airport to city centre transportation options are more expensive and less convenient.
